Rainy Weekend

We had a rainy windy weekend. That leads to a lot of inside play which leads to a lot of energy. Friday we had a birthday party with my parents for Ethan. They are going to be on vacation during his birthday. It was rainy, but they still went outside to try out his new rings and bar for the swing set. He also got 4 new shirts, and wanted to try all of them on. The yellow striped one was his favorite.

Saturday is was rainy again in the morning. We got to Skype Grandma Becky, which is always a treat for the kids. Andrew and Ethan got to play ball outside a little bit in the afternoon and they split some wood. We are going to be in burning season pretty soon, so that will be Andrew's new pass time. He is just thrilled about that I'm sure. Around 4:30 we headed to the YMCA for the benefit for the Woods. It was so encouraging to see a packed out YMCA. There was plenty to do and eat. Ethan and Elizabeth even tried the "really big slide" (one of the blow up kinds). Evan did a great job on his speak but it was real emotional night for everyone. An "up and coming" Christian band even wrote a song about Reece. Evan and Lisa have been such an inspiration through the whole experience. Their faith has been so strong. I can't imagine losing a 3 year old child. The story of Reece is just amazing if you want a good read check out their blog at www.carepages.com (then type in WoodTwins). It tell her whole story from beginning to end. The way God is using the Woods and Reece's short life is just amazing. He always had a plan for Reece, even if it wasn't our plan.

Sunday was a typical day for us. Church, relaxing afternoon, Pioneer Clubs. It was a pretty good weekend.
