Thankful Thursday

Today I'm thankful for...

1. Sunshine 2 days in a row. The warmer weather has been such a blessing.

2. Great friends who again brought us a huge meal to help when we were all sick.

3. A well family. It has been a rough winter season for us. I'm just thankful that God gave me the strength and patience to get through it.

4. Even though there are some changes to his job, at least Andrew still has one. There will be some 2nd shift work, but we can deal with that.

Thankful Thursday

Today I'm thankful for...

1. The kids are feeling better and are almost back to normal (thier health at least).
2. Wonderful friends. Jeanne Flegge is the most wonderful friend. She brought me back a "treat" (mocha cappuccino, with extra whipped cream) from the coffee house on Sunday. Then she called on Monday and said they were bringing us dinner, so I could rest after a long week. On Tuesday night Rochelle, another wonderful friend brought me a homemade cheesecake, yummy. They both called many times over the last couple of weeks to encourage and ask if they could help at all. I'm truly blessed.
3. An upcoming weeks vacation for Andrew. We all really needed this break.
4. God's goodness to us over the last year.
   

Thankful Thursday

Today I'm thankful for...

1. My sweet girls. Having girls lets me play tea parties, play with Strawberry shortcake dolls, play with dollhouses and baby dolls even though I'm an adult. It is so much fun playing with them and watching them learn how to play.
2. My big boy. Ethan is so much fun to play with as well. Even though playing trains can get old sometimes, it is fun to race cars with him and he loves playing games with me. Ahhh a fellow gamer. Plus I will always have some one to ride four wheelers with and help me in the garden.
3. The changing seasons. I love seeing God's creation change before my eyes. It is fun to enjoy all the seasons he created.
4. North Park, our new church home. I love all the people there and we have formed some wonderful friendships. We became official members 2 weeks ago.
5. Pioneer Clubs and Kristi Wolfe (new children's director). Pioneer Clubs has been great for the kids and I really love helping them learn there verses each week. It is a great challenge for me too. I have really slipped in my Bible memory, so it is a great way to help me get back to memorizing God's word. Secondly Kristi Wolfe, I just don't know how to explain how great she is. I have never been around someone who is so passionate about teaching kids about God. She has such a high view of God and really wants the kids to as well. I love how she challenges them each week and how she is helping them memorize all of Psalm 1. Our kids are so privileged to be under her direction and teaching. I also love the things that Ethan repeats from his lesson on Sunday. Not just God is powerful or God is good or God loves us, but things like "Jesus was the true King" and "God is Man" and "God is Sovereign" and "Satan is evil and wants us to be evil". He is getting such a wonderful foundation.
   

Thankful Thursday

Today I'm thankful for...

1. Of the 5 GM plants up and running in North America, the Fort Wayne plant is one of them. We are so thankful that God is continuing to provide for us.
2. For great friends who are such an encouragement to me. We have made some wonderful friends at North Park.
   
3. To be back on a normal schedule. I'm also thankful that we (with the kids help) have got the house back in order after a few weeks of craziness.
4. Andrew taking vacation time and spending it with us. We had such a good vacation and made some wonderful memories.
   

Thanksgiving Thankful Thursday

We usually go to the Schells for Thanksgiving, but with Ethan being sick we are at home. Each year Mr. Schell gives a short devotional and then we all go around and share what we are most thankful for. Most of the time each story is emotional and some crying is not uncommon, but each one is ceneterd around God and his goodness to us. It is wonderful to see how God is working in everyone's life. Since I won't be able to share with them, I will share here.

Today I'm thankful for...

1. GOD.... and his goodness to us. He has been so mighty and revealed so much to me this past year through so many things; a miscarriage and then the healthy birth of Elisea, a great new church family, a wonderful new support system of friends from North Park, continued provision with Andrew's job, His work in my life through the Holy Spirit to grow my love and understanding of who God is.
2. My wonderful husband and great kids. They all can be frustrating, can't we all, but they are all so precious to me and I love the family that God has blessed me with. Andrew is just a great husband and dad and has really become a wonderful spiritual leader. I love watching him grow in the knowledge of God this year and reading faithfully his Bible every morning. Our three wonderful kids are just perfect and healthy. Ethan is a great big brother and just loves his sisters so much. He is my little helper and so funny. Elizabeth is just a ray of sunshine and brightens up the whole house. She can be a little ball of energy, but I know someone else who was as well. Elisea has become a smiley, happy baby who we all love. She is such a joy to us and we have really loved watching her grow.
3. North Park Church. We have grown so much from the teaching. We just love all our friends there and have really formed some wonderful relationships with fellow believers.
4. A wonderful Thanksgiving at home, the home God has so graciously provided for us.
5. This Blog which helps me record the precious memories that are being made every day. The kids are growing so fast and I love the fact that I can record all the great times that we are having to cherish now and later. It is also such a blessing to read others Blogs and see how God is working in their lives as well.

1. Ethan is feeling better and Elisea is still well
2. Andrew had some time off this week and has all of next week off.
3. We are getting out of the house on Saturday for Ried's birthday party.
4. Our wonderful church friends.

Today I'm thankful for....

• Heathly family, no one else caught Elizabeth's and my germs.


• Great new friends at North Park. We had such a great time at the Woods last night. We are so blessed with our new friends who have welcomed us so warmly.


• A wonderful husband who is going to watch the kids while I have a scrapbooking night out.

Today I'm thankful for....

1. A warmer day so the kids could get out and run around.
2. Wednesday prayer time. I just love these ladies and love praying with them. II Chronicles 7:14&15 "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place."
3. Cough medicine.
4. Elisea is still sleeping through the night....finally.
5. Andrew's vacation this week and next week.
6. God is sovereign over everything....even elections!

Today I'm thankful for....

1. A fixed computer.
2. Jeanne Flegge, she has become a wonderful friend. I just love her encouraging and warm spirit.
3. Andrew getting the Business Coordinator position (he is still looking for a job else where)
4. Sovereign God during crazy times.
5. 2 great and challenging Bible Studies and that I have found the time to keep up with them.

Today I'm thankful for...

1. A great husband who volunteered to watch the kids on Tuesdays for my night Bible study. And who made me go to the Friend to Friend at church tonight.
2. Very productive apples trees and that I'm done making applesauce.
   
3. Safety for mom and dad while they were in Israel. Even through a couple of tough spots.
   
4. Beautiful fall weather. The weather has been just perfect this last couple of weeks. If I could just save them in a bottle for later I would.

Today I'm thankful for...

1. God's provision in Andrew's job situation. And that he is on a line right now where he can stay on days (no night shifts).
2. Elisea had a great week. No major screaming fits, good naps, and happy most of the time. Yeah!!!!
3. The challenge of two Bible studies. I'm looking forward to see what I will be learning about God this year through my studies.
4. A wonderful church family who cares and loves. What great prayer warriors we have!

Today I'm thankful for...

1. Andrew's help in the yard and garden. It was so nice having him help cut up tomatoes. I didn't realize how nice till I cut up a batch by myself today. He has been such a good help in the garden this year, especially with watering.
2. Giggling kids. I love the sound of the kids laughing. They are so fun to play with and add such joy to my day.
3. Wonderful tomato plants.
4. God's promise that his is in control of everything. Even something as big (to us) as Andrew's job situation. We are continuing to trust God in this situation.

1. Elisea falling asleep in the carseat.
2. 3 kids all napping at the same time.

Today I'm thankful for:

1. My dishwasher. (I have forgot to get dishwashing soap, and have really missed the dishwasher)

2. Cool weather (low 80s for the middle of August)

3. A shopping trip to Walmart by myself (thanks mom!)

1. Andrew's good job, so I don't have to work.

2. Great weather this week for Adventure Week.

4. My kids.

It has been a great week at Adventure Week, I'm sorry to see it come to an end. It's great getting to know some of the older kids and some more new faces at church. It has been difficult getting the kids out the door by 8 am every morning, but we did it. I'm so thankful I don't have to go to work every day, that would be crazy. I do miss spending the morning with the kids, I feel like I haven't seen them all week. Hopefully next week will be a normal week.
