Notes from the Hawk's Nest: Happy Birthday Elisea

One year old already? How did that happen? It was a year filled with all kinds of blessing and struggles. God gave us the grace to handle the struggles and he supplied us with so many blessing from Elisea. Elisea wasn't the happiest baby for about 6 months and we had some hip issues for the first couple of months, plus you have all that newborn stage with 2 other small kids. It was a busy time. But there were also wonderful blessings that Elisea brought to our home this year. The kids LOVE her ever minute of the day. They are always playing with her, hugging her, or getting her something to play with. I love hearing them saying "Elisea awake" and running in to greet her every morning. Even though she has been my little koala bear, I have loved snuggling with her and holding her all the time. All of the "firsts" were just as special as they were with our other 2 kids. She is such a happy little baby now, with lots of smiles and funny expressions to cheer up our days. We love her and couldn't imagine our home without her. I look forward to seeing her run around the yard with the her brother and sister. Speaking of walking she is so close. She will stand in the middle of the room, holding on to nothing, but won't take a step unless you are holding her hand. Oh well she will get it soon enough.
