After a long day of eating we decided to make something sweet. I bought this train gingerbread kit at Meijer this week and thought tonight would be a good night to put it together. It was surprisingly simple to put together the kids could actually help me, not like some of those kits that need a engineering degree. Elizabeth was most interesting in the candy and didn't understand why she didn't just eat the whole back of jawbreakers. The train doesn't really need candy for decoration anyways, right Elizabeth. Ethan was telling her "no Elizabeth mommy said you cann't eat them" and "Mommy that is not what the directions say to do with the candy, see the picture". He is just like Andrew it has to be just like the picture and done perfectly. It was a fun activity to wrap up a great Thanksgiving day. I think the kids will enjoy looking at their creation, Ethan and Elizabeth already commented on the train at breakfast.
Ready to make that gingerbread train.
Andrew even got in on the fun.
He was fixing all the mistakes and monitoring
the candy consumption. Ethan is
sneaking a piece past him.
