Elizabeth's 3rd Birthday Party:

It was a beautiful day for Elizabeth's birthday. Her first present was given after breakfast, a new princess bike. After Andrew got it put together it was time for a test drive. Elizabeth the dare devil jumped on the bike and never looked back. She was speeding and taking turns like a pro. I'm pretty sure I even saw her standing up while she was peddling. Ethan is pretty excited about having someone to "cruise" with. Most of the rest of the day was spent riding their bikes.

After dinner we had her party, complete with "the Grandmas" and Grandpa. It turned out to be a thematic party; Princess. She had first requested a Strawberry Shortcake cake for her birthday, but then at the last minute changed her mind to a Cinderella cake. Luckily she gave us enough time to plan out the new cake. It turned out pretty good, at least she new what it was supposed to be.

Presents were next on the schedule. Our kids are so blessed with wonderful Grandparents, so there are always plenty 0f presents to open.

Ethan got her a bag full of Strawberry Shortcake stuff (panties, book, DVD, playing cards)

She got a princess puzzle and some new playdough from Great Grandma Harris. "The Greats" Ethan, Elizabeth, and I worked the puzzle. Then Elizabeth gave "The Greats" a lesson on the names and dresses of all the princesses.

Great Grandma Bennett got her a princess wand that lights up and 2 really cute outfits (a dressy one and a princess shirt with pants)

Grandma Becky loaded a bag full of princess stuff as well. (a crown, 2 wands, big princess book, a music jewelry box with a dancing Cinderella, princess coloring book, princess lunchbox with water bottle and sandwich box, princess plate set and a pink folding camping chair)

Grandma and Grandpa Harris went in with Jon and Clarice to get her a princess powerwheel car. As you can guess it was a pretty big hit. Grandma also made her a princess dress-up dress and pink crown. Plus they got her some new shirts.

Looking back over the day, I think you can call it a successful birthday. Ethan however thought it was a little to much Princess, pink stuff....
