September Pokagon Camping Trip

Andrew had a few comp days to use, so we headed up to Pokagon to do some camping. It was perfect fall weather (only a little bit of rain). We of course enjoyed the bike trails, some time on the beach (the kids were the only swimmers this time), and time around the camp fire. The new thing for us this camping trip was our daily hikes. The kids and I went for an hour hike the first day, while Andrew worked on his SS lesson. They did so good! Even Elizabeth who is most likely to get tired first didn't complain. I said to her "Elizabeth you are doing such a good job on this hike, your enjoying God's creation and not complaining at all". It stopped her right before her complaining was about to start and she just sighed a big sigh and walked on. Andrew came with us the next day on our hike, which was over 2 miles long. They all did great again and I only had to carry Elisea the last 1/4 mile. Oh and Elizabeth rode the whole time without her training wheels!

Relaxing around the fire and
doing a little target pratice.
