Missions Trip

Week 1 of shut down was our family vacation.....week 2 Andrew and I went with the youth group to Manadree North Dakota on a missions trip. Mandree is on an Indian Reservation and was an eye opening experience for us. The town was litered with trash and full of children playing in the streets without parents anywhere around as young as age 2. We went to Mandree to build relationships with the people in hope that we would be able to share the gosple with them. God provided us with many chances to talk with natives. They were so proud of there heritage and were happy to share their stories and beliefs with us. I think the hardest thing was to see the people so sure of there beliefs, but so far from the truth. Andrew and I had a great time working with our teens; they did everything they were asked to do and worked so hard all week. We did some work at the PowWow grounds, painted doors in the school, put on a VBS, had a ladies dinner, hoops night, and spent time talking with as many Natives as we could. The week was full of work, but we saw God work and answer our prayers daily. It was a great trip.
